Habitability
What is "habitability"? Webster's Dictionary defines it as "the environment in which we live." The Chief of Naval Operations defines it as "a military characteristic of equal importance with other military features of the ship."
Habitability means:
- More Privacy
- New Deck Coverings
- Improved Sanitary Spaces
- Attractive Dining Facilities
- Comfortable Lounges
- More Pleasing and Coordinated Colors
Today the United States Navy is highly concerned with the morale of the ship's crew. Good morale maximizes work efficiency. The comfort, cleanliness, and cheerfulness of the ship's interior has a very positive effect on the morale of the crew. Their days at sea are more enjoyable.
